What's New for June?
What’s been going on?!
My goal for May was to not spend money unless it was on bills, emergencies, special events, and contributions (savings, retirement, etc.). I didn’t accomplish the goal since I went out for food three times, but I still saved a lot of money (I did go and get my nails and feet done at the very end of the month because….duh!). Luckily, I didn’t just really ramp up the spending just because I failed; that’s always a temptation.
Some of the month’s expenses included landscaping and getting work done on my car. Things cost money, and sometimes their cost is more than we’d like. Most of the time the cost is more than we’d like. But, once we get a a handle on our money, the impact doesn’t hit as hard as it would if we were still operating how we previously were.
A look ahead…
The summer is going to bring a lot of opportunities related to my wealth journey. I’m going to continue doing the IG Live sessions. I like being able to highlight the journeys of women who look like me because it helps to keep my grounded and accountable. I’m also looking forward to more coaching sessions. Being able to help people dig into what is holding them back from accomplishing a goal and figuring out the tools that can help them move forward is awesome.
As far as June is concerned, I’m planning to sell at least five items. That extra money will go toward my mortgage payoff and/or one of my savings accounts. Any additional money I receive from side hustling, awards, etc. will also go toward my money goals.
I hope that you all have a great month! Make sure to follow me on Instagram for a more detailed look into my journey.
