My Debt-Free Journey: Part 6
Oh look! It’s the last day of November which means it’s time for another debt update. It also means that today is my birthday (34)!
This month has been challenging….because life! Managing negative thinking patterns and responses has definitely been a feat. Here are 34 things that I’ve learned along the way…
Gratitude works.

Take care of your health.
Keep stress down.
If a thought isn’t helpful, release it and think or do something that is helpful.
Peace and wisdom are extremely important.
Life is hilarious.
Always be in learning mode.
A good work environment makes a difference.
Slow down.
Not saying everything that comes to mind doesn’t mean you’re being dishonest.
Seek out those who are where you want to be.
Drink a lot of water.
If you’re struggling to love yourself, draw from how God sees you. He loves us unconditionally.
Write it down.
Empathy can be learned and improved.
Action helps with overthinking.
No matter how much you try to run from God, it seems that you eventually end up near him.
Dream bigger.
Set monthly goals.
Set annual goals.
The people in your life should be put into categories. Some are friends. Some are mentors. Some are accountability partners. Some you attend events with. Some are travel buddies.
Vision boards work.

Sometimes you can check all of the boxes, do all the work, and it still doesn’t work out.
Sometimes it’s not supposed to work out.
Share your knowledge with others.
Ask God for help.
Stretch.
A well-decorated, colorful, and clean home can boost your mood.
Leave the past where it belongs.
Get excited about what’s to come.
Eat well.
Rest.
And there you have it. Thirty-four lessons.
I’m looking forward to what this year has in store for me! December’s goal is to sell one painting! And, of course, the ultimate goal is to finish paying off this debt by the end of this year! My balance is around $3,200, so I project that it will be paid off in a couple of weeks. Hurray!
Come hell or high water, this debt will be paid off by December 31, 2020!
